Early Life
Born to traditional parents, who insisted she marry very young. She managed to convince her father to allow her 4 years to live the way she wanted. Deeply influenced by her Grandmother, who was a very charismatic lady, Bhatia has imbibed the same quality of treating every person with much warmth.
Society Life and Values

Passionate about gardening, she mentions, that each and every tree planted at the very gorgeous Dusit Devarana Hotel (which she owns) has been done by her. Some even include rare trees like avocado. Even produce, like the organic pomello, herbs etc served at the restaurant in the hotel are all from her garden.

Both traditional and modern in her values, she loves wearing her mother’s sari’s the most. Dressed in a beautiful green Mysore georgette, with diamonds on her left wrist and a Ulysee Nardin ticking on her right, she is a picture of royalty. The modernity shines through her creation a ‘Bailey’s Chai’, which is tea flavored with Baileys the liquer, a very interesting combination. She is the proud mother of two wonderful sons, both very successful in their own right and very down to earth.

Giving Back to Society
As Chairperson for Indian Women Network for CII, she makes sure that she gives back to society, in every big and small way she can and this she wants to do especially for women. Very keen on empowering women and children, she imparts education and skill development to them through various NGO’s she runs and is associated with.
